“Frame the Lawyers” Art Exhibit

WCL and Washington Lawyers for the Arts (WALA) teamed up last week to co-host the Opening Reception for the “Frame the Lawyers” art exhibit. A large crowd of area attorneys, artists, students, and alumni kicked-off the month-long exhibit in Founders Lobby at WCL. The juried exhibit includes work by area lawyers and law students. Most of the works are for sale with part of the proceeds benefitting the pro bono legal education and assistance programs provided by WALA. The reception was proceeded by a panel on practicing at law organized by 3Ls Andrew Gamble and Kate Kramer.

About WCL Clinic Blog

We are a live-client law firm within American University, Washington College of Law. Each year, 230 students participate in our program, helping real clients (low income and under-represented people and organizations in the D.C. area) with a wide array of real legal problems. Students work under the supervision of 9 tenured and 2 tenure-track faculty members, 2 long-term contract Professors of the Practice of Law, and 10 practitioners-in-residence. We'd like to share the diverse experiences of our students, faculty, and staff as we teach and learn together.
